This amendment repeals the eighteenth amendment. The eighteenth amendment stated that alcohol was banned, but this amendment is the first to overturn an amendment.

This amendment tells you how many terms a president can serve for. This limits the president to only being aloud to serve for 2 terms, which is 8 years.
Amendment 23

Amendment 23 gives electors to the District of Columbia. This amendment allow people living in Washington D.C. to vote. The District of Columbia now has 3 presidential electors.

Poll taxes in federal elections have been abolished. Poll taxes were used by states to not allow African Americans to vote. The supreme Court banned poll taxes in state elections also.

This amendment is about the Vice President. It established a process for the Vice President to over run leadership of the nation when a president is disabled.
Amendment 26
